Commemorative Quilt

During the Block Party we worked together to create a community art project. People used paints, pens, glitter and glue to design a square-- writing their name, drawing a picture, or sharing a message. These squares filled in spaces on a large banner that outlined the shape of the Dale House facade.

This quilt illustrates how this modest house on Dale Street was 'filled in' by the presence of each person who has come to this place. We have become a lasting community because we have been filled with people who shared life together, walked with each other in times of struggle and celebration, and held onto faith in God and one another.

A large copy of this piece now hangs in the Family Night room at the DHP Big House.

Would you like a copy? We are taking orders of a postcard or note cards with this art project on it.

We are hoping to place our first order for prints on November 15th. If there's more demand we could do orders later - stay tuned for more info!
